Import

The “Import” functionality in the InputWP plugin allows you to effortlessly import events, bookings, or unavailable times from external sources such as Airbnb, Booking.com, HomeAway, TripAdvisor, VRBO, and FlipKey. This is achieved by using an .ics URL provided by these sources, which contains event data in the iCalendar format.

How to use

1. Accessing the Feature:
   • Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
   • Navigate to “InputWP” in the left-hand menu.
   • Click on “Integration.”
   • Under the “Import” section, click on “Add New” to create a new import rule or edit an existing one.
2. Configuring Import Settings:
   • Provide a name for the import using the “Label (Optional)” input field. This label helps you identify the import rule.
   • In the “.ics URL” text field, paste the .ics URL generated by the external source. Ensure that the URL is in the appropriate .ics format.
   • Use the “Import into Event’s calendar” select input field to specify which event’s calendar the imported data should be associated with.
   • Optionally, define a color for the import using the “Colour (Optional)” color picker. This color is intended for future visual representations and doesn’t impact functionality.
   • Choose the sync frequency using the “Sync” select input field. Select how often you want the import to run, ranging from every 5 minutes to every 30 days.
3. Managing Import Rules:
   • You can create multiple import rules to manage different imports from various external sources.
   • Once you’ve configured the settings, scroll down to the bottom of the integration page and click the “Save” button to save the import settings.
